The first day of the Tour of Thailand was a 5km Time Trial, and Jelly Belly P/B Kenda swept the podium! The team had riders who placed all the way through 5th and will try to remain in top positions throughout the week.
“With five stages to go it will be very hard to hold on to the yellow jersey,” Van Haute said. “But the riders are ready to race hard and come home with the yellow jersey from the Tour of Thailand.”
The Team feels at home in Thailand because the Jelly Belly Candy Company has a factory and office there.
“We wanted to ride well here at this tour,” Van Haute said, “and so far it’s gotten off to a great start.”
