The Jelly Belly Team is heading to Arkansas for its next big race, The Joe Martin Bicycle Classic, which will be the fifth stop on the 2009 NRC.
The heat and humidity in Malaysia’s 2009 Tour helped prepare the team for this spring classic, May 7-10.
“After Malaysia the riders are in very good condition and ready to race in Arkansas,” said Team Director Danny van Haute.
Jelly Belly is in 5th place right now after only three races.
“By the end of June, the team will have five more NRC races under its belt and we will see the Jelly Belly Pro Cycling Team at the top of the standings,” van Haute added.
Riding in the Joe Martin Bicycle Classic will be Matty Rice, Phil Gaimon, Jonny Clarke, Brad Huff, Matt Crane, Bryce Mead, Nick Reistad and Jeremy Powers. This will be Powers’ first race back with the Team after a very successful cyclocross season.
