Team News April 21st, 2008
Nic Sanderson (Australia)
In the first stage of the 2008 Tour de Georgia presented by AT&T, Aussie Nic Sanderson of the Jelly Belly Pro Cycling team nabbed an awesome 2nd place finish. It’s one of the highlights of his career and the best finish Jelly Belly has ever had in the Tour, which features the very best teams in the world.
Nic also won the Best Young Rider jersey, which is awarded to the most outstanding rider of each stage under the age of 25. He’ll wear the jersey at the start of Tuesday’s stage in Statesboro.
Matty Rice and Bernard Van Ulden also turned in outstanding rides, getting in two separate breakaways.
We want to congratulate Nic, Matty, Bernard and the rest of Team Jelly Belly on their great effort, and wish them the best of luck on the rest of the race!
