The Jelly Belly Pro Cycling Team is back in the saddle!

The team has been revamped, with new uniforms, new bikes and some new members, and they’re ready to tackle yet another monster stage race: the Tour de Georgia presented by AT&T! The Tour begins on Monday, April 21 on Tybee Island and covers 650 miles of varied terrain before ending on Sunday, April 27 with a 62.7 mile circuit race in Atlanta. Mr. Jelly Belly will even there to greet them at the finish!

On May 4, 2008, several team members will join the employees of team title sponsor Jelly Belly Candy Company at the Napa Tour de Cure. They’ll be riding though the Napa Valley to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association. The ADA’s mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. The Beast to emerge from retirement to join in the fight to cure diabetes!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 17 years since Jelly Belly’s Team Director Danny “Beast” Van Haute last sported his pro jersey and raced his Schwinn. In a rare public appearance on the bike, our former two-time Olympian and seven-time National Champion will be joining his riders and sponsors at the Napa Tour de Cure!
